Wholesale shipments and pharmacy stock
The manufacturer’s planned final wholesale-shipment date does not guarantee retail stock through January 2027 or set a uniform last dispensing date. Ask the pharmacy about the exact supply and tell the prescriber if continuity is uncertain. Do not rely on an old online listing as evidence that future refills are secured.
The old Saxenda card is not a current benefit
NovoCare says new enrollment in the Saxenda savings offer ended June 30, 2023, and benefits ended December 31, 2023. That expired card cannot be counted toward a current payment estimate. Ask directly about any current support and its eligibility rules.
Calculate pens from the prescribed stage
The 3 mL pen contains 18 mg of liraglutide, but the usable supply depends on the prescribed daily dose, escalation stage and product instructions. Ask for pen count, total volume and billed days’ supply. A starting-period calculation should not be used as a continuing monthly estimate.

Review alternatives without assuming equivalence
Victoza and other liraglutide products have product-specific labels and devices. If a different product or medicine is proposed, the prescriber should confirm suitability and provide new instructions. Ask the plan to price the exact replacement; sharing an ingredient does not settle coverage or substitution.
